This afternoon staff at EcoDive took a break to clean up some kite string and fishing line on Northern Exposure reef.  We successfully collected a minimum of 100 yards of line and on the way saw: reef squid, a large mackerel, baby tuna, jacks, reef fish, large green conga (aka green moray) and some lovely 40 foot vertical drop offs with small caverns and great reef structure.  Happily no plastics were found and as David would appreciate from Friday’s Discover Scuba Dive, next time we visit Northern Exposure we won’t have to come up with hand signs for kite-strings on the bottom 🙂
